How does this new R&D Center strengthen our EVOLVE+ strategy’s focus on development excellence?

We as a company always strive for state-of-the-art, high-quality process and analytical development. This is why the pillar Development Excellence in our strategy EVOLVE+ is key to our success. With reduced time-to-market becoming increasingly important to our customers, enhancing efficiency during the development phase is essential. Our new R&D center will enable gains in efficiency through both our team and our technical capabilities, allowing us to pursue our strategy with a strong emphasis on development excellence.

What is a unique capability of this new R&D center?

This R&D center will offer a variety of new and unique capabilities. It will allow us to strengthen our customer offerings by optimizing our process technology toolbox with advanced distillation techniques, flow chemistry, and integrated Process Analytical Technologies (PAT). The advanced distillation techniques will drive more efficient processing and support sustainability goals. Flow chemistry will enable us to serve a growing market need. This technology can be applied to run challenging reactions safely achieving high product quality and yield. Finally, by integrating PAT, we are able to monitor chemical reactions in real time, accelerating development and delivering real-time data for improved decision-making.

Why was Evionnaz chosen as the location of this center?

There were various reasons on why Evionnaz is the ideal location of this center. The first reason is the people: we already have a strong team in Evionnaz, and this new facility will allow us to bring them together under one roof while also having capacity for growth. The second reason is that we wanted to further strengthen Evionnaz as our second launch site next to Zofingen. Overall, it was clear to us from the start that Evionnaz would be the perfect fit for this center.
